Bumpass Hell Mudpots

Bumpass Hell Mudpots

Escaping gasses, heated by hot volcanic rock beneath the surface, bubble out of Bumpass Hell's mudpots. The smell of sulpher in this area is quite strong, but I don't mind because it reminds me of my Yellowstone adventure in 1990. Clint and I had a good chuckle when we heard a younster tell his parents, "I don't like the smell of Bumpass Hell!"
